Human Milk Fat Globulin (HMFG2) antibodies

28th Aug 2021

RDI Divison of researchd Industries Intl offers a wide line of antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, histochemistry, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.

Mouse ANTI-HUMAN MILK FAT GLOBULES (HMFG2)

PRODUCT CODE :RDI-CBL201X $438.00/vial

CLONE: 3.14.A3

ISOTYPE: IgG1

SOURCE: Mouse ascitic fluid

SPECIFICITY: React with a mucin-like glycoprotein molecule expressed in milk-fat globule membrane. HMFG2 reacts with a different epitope on the milk fat globule mucin, one which is poorly expressed on normal lactating breast ,but strongly expressed on most primary and secondary breast cancers.

APPLICATIONS:

* The antibody reacts with not only breast, but other types of carcinoma. HMFG2 reacts with ductal carcinomas .

* Because the antibody reacts with other carcinomas it is useful in determining the origin of secondary tumours (e.g. to bone marrow) and in a panel of markers to epithelial cells antigens (such as epithelial keratin AE1/AE3) in different diagnosis of lymphoma (negative) and carcinoma (positive).

* Indirect immunoperoxidase or alkaline phosphatase staining of histological sections of frozen or formalin-fixed, paraffin embedded tissues.

* The antibodies have also been used in ELISA techniques for serum assay of the HMFG2 antigen in breast and ovarian tumours.

-approx working dilution 1:50 to 1:100, incubate 30 minutes room temp

PRESENTATION: Each monoclonal is delivered in a sealed vial . Reconstitute with 1ml distilled water. Contains 15mM sodium azide as a preservative. We recommend that each laboratory determine an optimum working titre for use in its particular application.

STORAGE: Purified monoclonal antibodies are generally stable for long periods at 4oC. However repeated warming to room temperature and re-cooling may result in a loss of activity and hence effective working titre. It is recommended that monoclonal antibodies are aliquotted upon receipt and then stored at -20C. After thawing they should then be used as a stock solution for up to 60 days. Dilute working solutions are best prepared on the day of use.
