Specificity:
Immunogen: a purified human adenovirus type 2 as an immunogen for the Mab panel
generation. After selection, 2 clones were chosen: 1E11 and 7C11 (IgG2a both),
directed against genus-specific hexon antigen, which
is present in all human serotypes, and being of greater affinity to adenovirus.
Mouse isotype: IgG2a
Application: Clone 7C11 can be used in ELISA and immunodiffusion
Clone 1E11 can be used in ELISA
Clone 8C4 can be used in Elisa as coating antibody with clone 1E11 as detecting (Best pair)
Traditional sandwich ELISA with the use of a homologous pair of Mab 1E11/1E11,as well as a
combination of Mab 7C11 (capture) and 1E11
(conjugate) provides for the detection limit of viral antigens 1ng/ml. (See
figure 1). We tested 100 faecal specimes
and 100 nasal washings using in-house ELISA with Mab
7C11 and 1E11, compared to adenovirus Antigen EIA and a complete coinsidence of results. FITC-labelled
Mab 7C11 provided for the adenovirus detection with
the sensitivity and specificity 71.4 and 100% respectively at testing of 20
clinical specimens of nasal washings.
Purification: Purified by chromatography on protein A Sepharose.
Purity is tested by electrophoresis.
Presentation: Each vial contains antibodies with 1mg in 1ml (1mg/ml) in PBS, pH
7,4,containing 0,1% of sodium azide
as preservative. Store at +4C.
Material safety: This product is sold as an antibody preparation for research purpose only. Standard Laboratory Practices should be followed when handling this material. Contains sodium azide (0,1%) as pre- servative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling this product.
FOR IN VITRO RESEARCH USE ONLY
NOTE: Recommend centrifuging the unopened vial at 500-1000 RPM for 2 minutes to concentrate antibody in bottom of vial. If desired, you can add PBS containing 0.1% NaN3 to bring volume to 1mg in 1ml
