ANTIBODIES

(anti-Human and others as indicated)

RDI Divison of researchd Industries Intl  offers a wide line of  antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, histochemistry, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.

Specialty anti-Epstein Barr Virus Antibodies

mouse anti-epstein barr virus (early antigen)

cat#RDI-EBVabm-31    $440.00/1ml lyophilized

-clone G3-E31

-reacts with EBV early antigen diffuse (50 to 52kd), encoded by the BMRF-1 open reading frame. The early antigen diffuse is expressed during the early lytic phase of virus replication, most notably in keratinocytes of hairy cell leukoplakia.

-react in western blot and formalin fixed paraffin sections(eg EBV-transformed B95-8 and Raji cells when using high temp release with citrate buffer pH6.0), approx 1:200 dilution for histochemistry.

mouse anti-epstein barr virus (early antigen restricted)

cat#RDI-EBVabm-F2   $438.00/1ml lyophilized

-clone W1-F2

-reacts with EBV early antigen restricted (85kda)

-react sin western blot and formalin fixed paraffin sections(eg EBV-transformed B95-8 and Raji cells when using high temp release withcitrate buffer pH6.0), approx 1:200 dilution for histochemistry.

mouse anti-epstein barr virus (latent membrane protein) COCKTAIL

cat#RDI-EBVLabm-4   $438.00/1ml lyophilized

-mixture 4 clones CS1, CS2, CS3 and CS4

-reacts with a 60kd latent membrane protein (LMP-1) encoded by the BNLF1 gene of EBV. Each monoclonal reacts with different epitopes on the hydrophilic c-terminus of the cytoplasmic domain of LMP-1. This cocktail reacts strongly with EBV positive lymphoblastoid cell lines and EBV infected B cell immunoblasts in infectious mononucleosis. Also reacts with approx 25-50 percent of EBV-associated undifferentiated nasopharyngeal carcinomas and with Reed Sternberg cells in approx 90% of EBV-associated Hodgkin's disease cases.

-suitable for acetone fixed frozen sections or paraffin sections (pretreated with trypsin), approx 1:100 dilution for histochemistry

mouse anti-epstein barr virus (nuclear antigen 2)

cat#RDI-EBVNabm-E2 $438.00/1ml lyophilized

-clone PE2

-reacts with EBV early antigen nuclear antigen 2 (EBNA2), which is an EBV-encoded nuclear protein of 82kDa. EBNA2 is essential for growth transformation of B lymphocytes and has been shown to modulate the activity of several viral and cellular promoters.

-this antibody reacts strongly with the nuclei of all EBV lymphoblastoid cell lines. May be useful for the distinction between true EBV positive lymphomas and EBV induced atypical lymphoproliferative disease. The former is usually EBNA 2 positive and the latter negative.

- approx 1:25-1:40 dilution for histochemistry.

-also suitable for western blot
