AdenoVirus ANTIBODIES
(anti-Human and others as indicated)
RDI Divison of Fitzgerald Industries Intl offers a wide line of antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.

-western blot 1:100-1:200 with
chemiluminescence detection
Positive Ctrl: adenovirus infected cells and tissues
Localization: nuclear
Background: It recognizes a 180-200kDa protein, identified as the trimer of
Adenovirus 2 (Ad2) and Adenovirus 5 (Ad5) fiber protein.1 Adenovirus capsid
proteins are synthesized in the cytoplasm and transported to the nucleus for
assembly into the virus particles. The three major capsid proteins (hexon,
penton base, and fiber) are synthesized late in infection. Fiber plays a
crucial role in adenovirus infection by attaching the virus to a specific
receptor on the cell surface. Ad2 and Ad5 fibers are proposed to consist of
three domains: an N-terminal tail that interacts with penton base, a shaft
composed of 22 repeats of a 15 amino acid segment that forms beta-sheet and
beta-bends, and a knob at the C-terminus that contains the type-specific
antigen and is responsible for binding to the cell surface receptor. It is
shown that the fiber of Ad2 is most likely a trimer when found on the viron.
This ab recognizes only trimers (high molecular weight bands 180-200kDa) on
Western blots of unboiled Ad2 and Ad5 fiber proteins and shows
immunofluorescence with Ad5 fiber mutant H5ts142-infected cells at 32 DEG C but
not at 39.5 0 C.
Storage: 4-8 DEG C
