NOTE: 10% Discount on purchases of  3 or more any combination of CD antibodies. Please inquire for bulk or custom formulations (without preservative or carrier).

RDI Division of Fitzgerald Industries Intl  offers a wide line of  antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (flow cytometry, neutralization, blotting, histochemistry, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below. All products are for in vitro research use only-not for use in or on humans or animals-not for use in diagnostics. Price/availability/specifications subject to change without notice.

cat# RDI-CD66Aabm-H2   $562.00

Presentation: 1ml lyophilized tissue culture supernatant containing 15mM sodium azide. Reconstitute with 1ml sterile distilled water Let set at least 30 minutes, mix.

Clone ref: Clone 29H2

Isotype: mIgG1k

Immunogen: Prokaryotic recombinant protein corresponding to a 170 amino acid truncate aa266 to 436 aa of the CD66a molecule.

Hybridoma partner: Mouse myeloma (p3-NS1-Ag4-1).

Specificity: Human CD66a antigen, also known as biliary glycoprotein (BGP),is a member of the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA)and immunoglobulin superfamilies.

Use: formalin fixed paraffin sections (not for use with frozens) using the high temperature antigen unmasking technique. 1mM Citrate buffer, -60 minutes primary antibody incubation at 25 o C. Standard ABC technique.

Western blotting: Not recommended.

Positive controls: Liver

Staining pattern: Membrane

Storage: Store unopened lyophilized antibody at 4 o C.Under these conditions, there is nosignificant loss in product performance up to the expiry date indicated on the vial label. The reconstituted antibody is stable for at least two months when stored at 4 o C.For long term storage,it is recommended that aliquots of the antibody are frozen at -20 o C (frost-free freezers are not recommended).Repeated freezing and thawing must be avoided.Prepare working dilutions on the day of use.

CD66a antigen, also known as biliary glycoprotein (BGP),is a member of the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA)family and of the immunoglobulin superfamily.Products of four of the seven functional CEA family genes (CD66a,CD66b,CD66c and CD66d)are known to be expressed by haematopoietic cells.CD66a antigen is expressed in epithelia,in certain endothelia and in cells of the myeloid lineage. In liver, expression occurs in hepatocytes along the bile canaliculi.Apical membranous expression occurs in enterocytes, superficial absorptative cells of the colon, epithelia of oesophageal and Brunner ’s glands, bile ducts and gall bladder, pancreatic ducts, proximal tubules of the kidney, prostate, endometrium and mammary ducts.Selective expression in endothelia occurs in glomeruli and vasa recta of the kidney, small placental vessels, adrenal sinusoids, endometrium and prostate.Among the cells of the myeloid lineage, granulocytes and myelocytes express CD66a antigen. In breast, endometrial, colorectal and prostate cancer, the expression of CD66a antigen has been shown to be downregulated. However,in a subsequent study of breast cancer,CD66a antigen was found not to be downregulated, but its apical expression was lost and became localised throughout the cytoplasm of the invasive carcinoma cells.
