ANTIBODIES
(anti-Human and others as indicated)
RDI Division of Fitzgerald Industries Intl offers a wide line of antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, histochemistry, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.
Mouse anti-Na+/K+ alpha 3 subunit Monoclonal ab
cat# RDI-atpa3abm $517.00/vial
Background: The NA+/K+ Atpase is an integral membrane enzyme found in all cells of higher organisms and is responsible for the ATP-dependent transport of NA and K across the cell membrane. The enzyme consists of a large multipass transmembrane catalytic subunit (alpha subunit) and an associated smaller glycoprotein (Beta subunit). Studies indicate that there are three isoforms of the alpha subunit (A1, a2, & A3) and two isoforms of the Beta subunit (B1 & B2) which are encoded by two multigene families. The alpha 3 subunit has been found in neuronal and to a lesser extent skeletal and cardiac muscle and lung and stomach tissues.
isotype: mIgG1
clone: XVIF9-G10
package: 100ul of diluted ascites fluid with 0.05% sodium azide added
antigen: produced from a fusion of NS-1 myeloma cells and spleen cells from Balb/c mice immunized with canine cardiac microsomes.
Specificity: alpha 3 subunit of NA+/K+ ATPase
-seen in human, rat, monkey, sheep, canine, rabbit, guinea pig
Use:
-Western blot:1ug/ml= recognizes approx 110 kDa band which represents the alpha-3 subunit of the NA+/K+ ATPase.
-Immunohistochemistry: 3ug/ml =stains consistent with the plasma membrane localization of NA+/K+ ATPase.
Storage: Store at -20 DEG C upon receipt. Avoid frequent freeze thaw cycles. Recommend aliquoting. BEFORE OPENING, suggest centrifuging for 1 minute at 1000 RPM to concentrate material in vial.
Precautions: For In vitro research Use Only. Not for use in or on humans or animals or for diagnostics.
