CYTOKERATIN ANTIBODIES
(anti-Human and others as indicated)
RDI Division of Fitzgerald Industries Intl offers a wide line of antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.
ANTI-CYTOKERATIN TYPE 13 (clones Ks 13.1, 2D7 & 1C7)
MOUSE MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY TO: HUMAN CYTOKERATIN 13
PRODUCT CODE RDI-PRO61007, new cat#: 10R-C158a $412.50/vial
CLONE Ks 13.1
ISOTYPE IgG1
IMMUNIZING ANTIGEN Cytokeratin 13 purified from human oesophagus
SOURCE Mouse ascitic fluid
PURIFICATION METHOD Protein A affinity chromatography
SPECIFICITY This antibody reacts with human cytokeratin 13 with minor affinity for cytokeratins 14 and 17. Cytokeratin 13 (54 kDa) is expressed by several stratified squamous epithelia such as vagina, tongue, oral mucosa, oesophagus, epidermis and urothelium of bladder. Squamous cell carcinomas such as cervical carcinomas, cloacogenic carcinomas and transitional cell carcinoma of bladder also express cytokeratin 13.
APPLICATIONS
*Identification of cytokeratin 13 expressing tissues by indirect immunofluorescence staining or by indirect immunoperoxidase staining of frozen sections
*Identification of cytokeratin 13 expressing tissues in formalin fixed wax embedded tissue sections by immunohistochemistry
* excellent for identifying various forms of squamous metaplasia and cell type heterogeneity
*Western blotting
KNOWN SPECIES CROSS REACTIVITY Recognizes bovine and rat

Mab to Cytokeratin 13 (clone 1C7)
Cat#RDI-PRO10523 $375.00 $344.00/3+
Clone 1C7
Category Mouse monoclonal
Form/Purification culture supernatant
Ig Class IgG2a
Antigen Cytokeratin preparation from human esophagus
Description/Specificity Mab 1C7 specifically recognizes cytokeratin 13 (54 kD polypeptide) present in non-cornifying squamous epithelia and in transitional epithelium of the bladder. Epidermal cell culture studies have shown that cytokeratin 13 expression is involved in either the number or the strength of desmosomal contacts between suprabasal cells of stratified squamous epithelia.
Antigen Recognized in Species (tested so far) Human, most mammals incl. mouse, rat, rabbit
Suitable for · Immunofluorescence
· Immunohistochemistry
· Immunoblotting
· Applicable on frozen sections
Dilution Buffer PBS with 1% BSA and 0.1% Na-Azide
Working Dilution 1:5 - 1:10
Storage At 2-8°C (undiluted) or in aliquots at -20°C
Volume 1 ml
