CYTOKERATIN
ANTIBODIES
(anti-Human and others as indicated)
RDI Division of Fitzgerald Industries Intl offers a wide line of antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.
ANTI-Cytokeratin 9
Cat#RDI-PRO651104 $375.00/vial $344.00/vial 2+
Clone Determination (1) Ks 9.70 and (2) Ks 9.216
Category Mouse monoclonals
Immunoglobulin Class (1) IgG1 and (2) IgG3
Purification/Form Hybridoma culture supernatant
Antigen Synthetic peptides [(1) amino acids pos. 450-477 and (2) N-terminal amino acids nos. 4-28] of human cytokeratin 9 (MW 62,129)
Specificity The antibody reagent represents an excellent marker to study palmoplantar epidermal distribution and differentiation. Specifically reactive in the middle/upper suprabasal layers (stratum spinosum/granulosum) of the epidermis of palm and sole. CK9 can be detected in primary cultures of palmoplantar keratinocytes when they shift to differentiation-promoting conditions and grow stratified (upper cells). CK9 has not been found in normal, i.e. non-pathogenic, non-ridged epidermis, beside some minor cells surrounding the acrosyringeal ducts. No labelling has been found in epithelial cells of other stratified epithelia such as oesophagus or complex epithelia (e.g. urothelium) or in ductal or simple epithelia. Negative tissues include: muscle, liver and duodenum.
Antigen recognized in species (tested so far) Human; (in mouse: some background staining)
Application Suitable for· Immunoblotting (Western)
· Immunohistochemistry on frozen tissue;
· for paraffin-embedded sections, microwave treatment and in some cases protease digestion is recommended.
Special Application The antibody cocktail is an excellent new tool to characterize primary cultures of keratinocytes/skin transplants for application in burn treatment.
Working Dilution 1:25 - 300 (chemiluminescence); Western Blot (AP/ECL)
1:10 (immunofluorescence microscopy)
1:20 (immunohistochemistry PAP/ABC)
Storage At 2 - 8°C
Volume 1 ml
