ANTIBODIES
(anti-Human and others as indicated)
RDI Division of Fitzgerald Industries Intl offers a wide line of antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, histochemistry, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.
ANTI-DESMIN
Monoclonal anti-desmin
cat#RDI-PRO10519, new cat#: 10R-D101a $412.50/vial
clone: D9
Antigen: isolated from human leiomyoma
presentation: 1ml tissue culture supernatant
Reactivity: human, most mammals including mouse, rat and rabbits
Application: Clone D9 specifically reacts with the cytoplasmic 53Kda desmin protein. Desmin is the main intermediate filament in mature skeletal, cardiac and smooth mucle cells. the antibody can be used to distinguish rhabdomyosarcomas and leiomyosarcomas from ohter soft tissue tumors, lymphomas and carcinomas. Clone D9 does not cross react with other intermediate filament proteins and is useful for the identification of myodifferentiation in tumors.
Positive control:skeletal and smooth muscle myosarcomas
USE: histochemistry, paraffin sections (proteolytic treatment with pronase
or trypsin required), western blot
Dilution: 1:10 histochemistry (optimize for each
method)
dilution buffer: PBS with 1% BSA and 0.01% Na-Azide
Storage: 4 DEG C (undiluted)

Pab to Desmin
cat#RDI-PRO10570, new cat#: 20R-DR003 $379.50/vial
Category Rabbit polyclonal
Form/Purification Rabbit serum
Ig Class IgG
Immunogen Chicken gizzard
Clinical Application/Specificity: Desmin is the main
intermediate filament in mature skeletal, cardiac and smooth-muscle cells. The
antibody can be used to distinguish rhabdomyo-sarcomas
and leiomyosarcomas from other soft tissue tumors,
lymphomas and carcinomas. It reacts with the 53 kDa desmin protein and does not crossreact
with other intermediate filament proteins.
Recommended Positive Control: Skeletal and smooth muscle myosarcomas
