CYTOKERATIN   ANTIBODIES

RDI Division of Fitzgerald Industries Intl  offers a wide line of  antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.

SOURCE: Tissue culture supernatant

PURIFICATION  METHOD: Not applicable

SPECIFICITY: Reacts with human 5 (58kDa) and 8 (52.5kDa) keratin and therefore can be                              used for the discrimination of carcinomas and non-epithelial tumours eg.                                      lymphomas, sarcinomas and neural tumours.

APPLICATIONS: * Studies of cytokeratin 5 and/or 8 on cultured epithelial cells.

                              * Suitable for frozen sections studying simple and stratisfied epithelia..

                              * Immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin sections.

                              * Western blotting.

PRESENTATION: Each monoclonal is delivered in a sealed vial as 1ml of tissue culture                                           supernatant containing 10 mM sodium azide. We recommend that each laboratory determine an optimum working titre for use in its particular application.

STORAGE: Purified monoclonal antibodies are generally stable for long periods at 4oC. However repeated warming to room temperature and re-cooling may result in a loss  of activity and hence effective working titre. It is recommended that monoclonal   antibodies are aliquotted upon receipt and then stored at -200C. After thawing they  should then be used as a stock solution for up to 60 days. Dilute working solutions  are best prepared on the day ofuse.
