RDI Divison of researchd Industries Intl offers a wide line of antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.
ANTI-CYTOKERATIN TYPE 8
PRODUCT CODE :RDI-CBL195 $350.00/vial
-also available FITC conjugated cat#RDI-CBL195 $375.00/100T
SOURCE: Mouse ascitic fluid
Immunizing Antigen: detergent-insoluble cytoskeleton extract of SVK-14 cells (SV40-transformed human neonatal keratinocytes
PURIFICATION METHOD: Protein A affinity chromatography
SPECIFICITY: Human cytokeratin 8. This antibody was raised against detergent-insoluble cytoskeleton extract of SVK14 cells (SV40-transformed human neonatal keratinocytes).
APPLICATIONS : * Diagnostic pathology: cytokeratin 8 is (with cytokeratin 18) one of the first 2 cytokeratins expressed in the embryo, and persists into adult tissues as the cytokeratin pair representing "minimal" epithelial cytokeratin expression. Cytokeratins 8 and 18 are major components of all simple epithelia, although trace amounts may be detectable in internal stratified epithelial and in certain smooth muscle tissues. They are present in all adenocarcinomas.
* Serum assays: cytokeratin 8 is the protein responsible for the "tissue polypeptide antigen" (TPA) reported to be present at elevated levels in the serum of cancer patients.
* Immunohistochemistry and cytochemistry, immunofluorescence, colony screening for expression cloning

PRESENTATION: Each monoclonal is delivered in a sealed vial at a concentration
of not less than 200g/2ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 10mM sodium
azide and 1mg/ml of bovine serum albumin. We recommend that each laboratory
determine an optimum working titre for use in its particular application.
STORAGE : Purified monoclonal antibodies are generally stable for long periods at 4oC. However repeated warming to room temperature and re-cooling may result in a loss of activity and hence effective working titre. It is recommended that monoclonal antibodies are aliquotted upon receipt and then stored at -20C. After thawing they should then be used as a stock solution for up to 30 days. Dilute working solutions are best prepared on the day ofuse.
