ANTIBODIES
(anti-Human and others as indicated)
RDI Division of Fitzgerald Industries Intl offers a wide line of antibodies. Since
no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting,
histochemistry, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies
to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types
of antibodies not listed below.
Mouse anti-CA ATPase SERCA 2 Monoclonal ab
cat# RDI-CATP/2D8 $469.00/vial
Background: The ATP pumps that reside in intracellular organelles are encoded
by a family of structurally related enzymes, termed the sarcoplasmic or
endoplasmic reticulin CA+ (SERCA) ATPases. The Serca2 gene is subject to
tissue dependent processing which is responsible for the generation of Serca2a
muscle-specific isoform expressed in type I (slow) skeletal, cardiac and
smooth muscle and the Serca2b isoform expressed in all cells types.
isotype: mIgG1
clone: IID8
package: 100ul of diluted ascites fluid with 0.05% sodium azide added
antigen: produced from a fusion of NS-1 myeloma cells and spleen cells from
Balb/c mice immunized with purified canine sarcoplasmic reticulum.
Specificity: recognizes the SERCA2 ATPAse but does not discriminate between
the two isoforms (2a or 2b).
Human: Serca 2a, 2b, Type 1 (slow), cardiac
Canine: Serca 2a,2b , type I (slow) ,cardiac
rabbit: Serca2a, 2b, Type I (slow), cardiac , smooth muscle
Pig: Serca2b, neuronal, liver
G. Pig: Serca2a, 2b, type I (slow)
Rat: 0NLY WORKS FOR HISTOCHEMISTRY PURPOSES
Serca2a, 2b, Type I (slow), cardiac, neuronal
Use:
-Western blot 1:2500 recognizes approx 110Kda band
-Immunofluorescence: 1:500 strongly labels the entire type I (slow) myofiber consistent with SR localization.
-histochemistry: has been used to detect serca2b ATPase in the cerebrum and
cerebellum of rat and pig.
Storage: Store at -20 DEG C upon receipt. Avoid frequent freeze thaw cycles.
Recommend aliquoting. BEFORE OPENING, suggest centrifuging for 1 minute at
1000 RPM to concentrate material in vial.
