RDI Divison of Fitzgerald Industries Intl offers a wide line of antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, histochemistry, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.
-Calretinin is a calcium binding protein of the EF-hand family related to
calbindin D-28K and calmodulin. The antibody was evaluated for specificity
and potency by biotin-avidin labelling of cryostat or vibratome sections
of 4% paraformaldehyde fixed brains and b) by immunoenzymatic labelling of
LOT# see sheet with shipment
Packaging: 200 microliters lyophilized antiserum (no preservatives)
Antigen: recombinant human calretinin
Specificity: human, monkey, rat and mouse tissues -does not cross with calbindin D-28Kd or other known calcium binding proteins as determined by its distribution in the brain as well as by immunoblots.
Uses: Immunoblots: 1:1000-1:5000
Immunohistochemistry: 1:5000- 1:10000 with avidin-biotin method.
Optimal dilutions must be determined by the end
user for their particular application.

Storage: For long term storage, keep small portions (1-2ul) at -80 DEG C or at least -20 DEG . For continuous use keep at 4 DEG C (with 0.01% Na-azide). AVOID FREQUENT FREEZE THAW CYCLES.

Additional product of interest: recombinant human calretinin(suitable for immunoblots, absorption experiments inimmunohistochemistry and RIA). cat#RDI-rCALRET/P 250.00/10ug $1500.00/100ug
Goat anti-calretinin (polyclonal) cat#RDI-CALRETabG $562.00/200ul
RECOMBINANT HUMAN Calretinin
cat# RDI-rCALRET/P $312.00 $1500.00/100ug
package: 10 micrograms lyophilized from 25ul 10mM Tris-base, 80mM NaCl, 1mM EDTA, mM B- mercaptoethanol, 0.02% NaN3, pH 7.4).
Source: E Coli
Description: Purified by FPLC
Storage: Freeze in small aliquots (approx 1ug) and keep at -80 DEG C. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Uses: For absorption: dilute 1ul of the rabbit anti-calretinin, cat#RDI-CALRETabr in 5ml of the usual buffer for immunohistochemistry (final dilution 1:5000). Add 1ug of the recombinant protein to 1ml of the diluted antibody in solution and mix well. Incubate for at least 6 hours in the cold. Apply to tissue sections and incubate for 3 days. Complete the immunohistochemical reaction as usual (using biotinylated second antibody, ABC-complex, DAB) . -Immunostaining should be strongly reduced or even completely prevented.
