ANTIBODIES
(anti-Human and others as indicated)
RDI Divison of researchd Industries Intl offers a wide line of antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, histochemistry, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.
cat# RDI-CALNEXabm $438.00/vial 50ug
RDI-CALNEXabm-1 $750.00/vial 150ug
Background: Calnexin is a 90kDa integral; membrane protein located primarily
in the E domain. It contains a long N-terminal calcium binding domain extending
into the lumen of the E, with a short acidic cytosolic domain. Calnexin
associates with several cell surface binding proteins as they pass through
the E. Since it also forms complexes with other resident E proteins involved
in the CA2+ dependent retention of proteins, calnexin may act as a chaperone.
The amino acid sequence of calnexin is highly conserved among species and
similar in sequence to calreticulin, a major calcium binding protein found
in the E. Neither calnexin nor calreticulin contain the calcium-binding motif,
known as the "E-F hand", found in the calmodulin family of proteins.
isotype: mIgG1
package: 50ug (200ul) or 150ug (600ul) (at 0.25mg/ml in 50% glycerol, PBS
+ 1.5mM NaN3 & 1mg/ml BSA)
antigen: N-terminal protein fragment corresponding to amino acids 116-301
of human calnexin. (in calcium binding region)
USE: Suitable for western blot on human, dog, and rat using approx 0.25-1 ug/ml ab on total cell of HELA cells. Major band =MW 90kDa.
Storage: Store at -20 DEG C upon receipt. Recommend aliquoting. Avoid frequent
warming cycles.
