Prep: purified from tissue culture supernatant via affinity chromatography.

Species: Armenian Hamster IgG group 3

CLONE: MFL4

Antigen: C57BL/6 mouse FasL c DNA transfected newborn hamster kidney cells (BHK)

Activity: Clone MFL4 reacts with mouse and rat Fas Ligand (Fas L) . It detects rat FAS-L expressed by transfected cells but not the parental cell line. In addition, the epitope detected by MLFL4 can be induced on concavalin A-activated rat splenic T lymphocytes upon their re-stimulation for four hours with PMA/Ionomycin in the presence of matrix metalloproteinase inhibitor KB8301. Mouse FASL is expressed at the mRNA andprotein levels in a varitey of tissues and cell types, including spleen, bone marrow, testis, uterus , eye and activated lymphocytes.

Note: Because FAS-L is expressed at low density on activated cell, we recommend using a biotin labelled secondary antibody (please inquire) along with Streptavidin:PE

Use: -immunofluorescence of rat splebnic T lymphocytes after 6-8 hours incubation on plate bound R73 (anti-AB TCR cat#RDI-ABTCRabm $625.00/05l.mg) and JJ316 (anti-CD28 cat#RDI- RTCD28-JJ319 $625.00/0.5mgvial)

-using azide free formulation:blocking of the cytotoxic activity of mFAS-L transfected L5178Y T lymphoma and blocking of the cytotoxic activity of rFAS-L transfected COS cells.
