RDI Divison of Fitzgerald Industries Intl  offers a wide line of  antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (flow cytometry, neutralization, blotting, histochemistry, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below. All products are for in vitro research use only-not for use in or on humans or animals-not for use in diagnostics. Price/availability/specifications subject to change without notice.

Anti-RAT  CD59  Antibodies
DATA SHEET: mouse anti-Rat CD 59 clone (TH9)

Catalog#: RDI-RTCD59-TH9    $500.00/vial

Package Size: 500ug in 1ml 10mM phosphate buffer, pH7.4 with 150mM NaCl and 0.09% NaN3

Species: mouse IgG1k

Antigen: membrane attack complex-inhibitory proteins from rat erythrocyte membranes

Purification: from tissue culture supernatant by affinity chromatography

Activity: Reacts with rat CD59 ,a 21kd glycosyl- phosphatidyl inositol-anchored cell surface glycoprotein of the Ly-6 superfamily. CD59 is expressed by many types of non-hematopoietic cells. In the rat hematopoietic system, CD59 has been detected on erythrocytes, monocytes, and some lymphocytes, but not on platelets. Soluble CD59 is found in body fluids and urine. CD59 is a complement regulatory protein which acts late in the complement cascade to prevent formation of the membrane attack complex (MAC). Therefore, CD59 is one of several proteins whose function is to protect host tissue from complement attack. Rat CD59 binds rat and human complement components and inhibits cytolysis mediated by complement from multiple species. CD59 has also been suggested to be a ligand for CD2 and to participate in T-cell costimulation.

Application: -Indirect facs (1ug/million cells

                      -histochemistry:acetone fixed frozen sections (1-5ug/ml).
