CLONE: HMA5-1

Activity: made against mouse Cd49e but also reacts with rat CD49e. The ceuuluar distribution is different from that observed in mouse.It has been reported that soluble HMA5-1 partially inhibits the in vitro binding of rat mast eclls to fibronectin and inhibits the enhanced degranulation of IgE sensitized RBL-2H3 basophilic leukemia cell line induced on fibronectin-coated plates, and that plate bound antibody enhances the degranulation of IgE sensitized RBL-2H3 cells and that subcutaneous injection of the antibody along with anti-CD49d and CD61 antibodies inhibits experimentally induced passive cutaneous anaphylaxis.

Application: -Indirect immunofluorescence cell surface staining.

Immunogen: synthetic peptide derived from COOH terminal sequence (cytoplasmic domain) of the human alpha 5 integrin subunit

Reactivity: reacts with integrin alpha 5. Specificity determined by immunoprecipitation from a detergent extract of S(35) methionine labeled endothelial cells. No cross- reactivity to alpha 1, alpha 2, alpha 3, alpha 4, alpha 6 of Alpha V. the antibody recognizes an epitope on the cytoplasmic domain of th protein (intracellular)CD29

Species Reactivity: human, mouse, rat, bovine, chicken

Uses: -Western blot 1:100

           -Elisa: 1:100

            -immunoprecipitation: approx 5ul/5Million cells

           -immunofluorescence:acetone fixed sections only (in some applications, a permeabilization reagent such as saponin may be necessary to expose the intracellular region.

Titers must be optimized for each application

Storage: Store at -20 DEG C in undiluted aliquots. For extensive dilutions, add protein containing or stabilizing medium. Avoid frequent freeze thaw cycles.
