CLONE: OX-39

Activity: Reacts with the alpha chain of the IL-2 receptor on T lymphocytes and thymic dendritic cells. CD25 has also been detected on rat intestinal epithelial cells. It has also been reported that OX-39 mAb weakly blocks binding of IL-2 to T cell blasts and that it blocks IL-2 stimulated epithelial cell migration in an in vitro model of wound healing.

Application: -Indirect fluorescence (approx 1ug/1M cells)

                     -histochemistry on acetone fixed frozen sections (not tested on paraffin)

                     -immunoprecipitation

                      -blocking of IL-2 binding or action (when azide free)

                     -titers must be determined for each application

Immunogen: rat IL-2 receptor

Fusion Partner: spleen cells from immuized BALB/c mice were fused with cells of the mouse NS1 myeloma cell line

Activity: Reacts with the rat CD25 cell surface antigen, a 55kDa molecule that is the low affinity alpha chain of the IL-2 receptor. This clone Mab recognizes a different epitope than the OX-39 clone.
