Imunogen:high molecular weight rat thymocyte glycoproteins

Activity: This monoclonal recognizes the alpha chain of CD8 antigen expressed on thymocytes, peripheral T supressor cells, and some activated T helper cells. The CD8 alpha and Beta chains form a heterodimer on the surface of thymus-dependent T cytotoxic/supressor cells, whereas intestinal intraepithelial lymphocytes, many CD8+ T cells of athymic rats, most activated CD4+ T cells, and NK cells express CD8A without CD8B. Clone OX-8 antibody does not react with resting CD4+ T helper cells.

Application: -Indirect immunofluorescence cell surface staining. -FACS <1ug/1 million cells

                    -immunohistochemistry on acetone fixed frozen sections and paraffin sections
