ANTIBODIES
(anti-Human and others as indicated)
RDI Divison of researchd Industries Intl offers a wide line of antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, histochemistry, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.

DATA SHEET: Goat anti-Presenilin-1 Peptide (14-33)
Background: The presenilin-1 gene has recently been discovered on chromosome 14 and is responsible for an early onset form of Alzheimer's disease that accounts for 70-80% of the inherited forms of Alzheimer's. It is a membrane protein that has a region where at least seven mutations have been identified in family members with Alzheimer's disease. The 14-33 peptide sequence corresponds to the N-terminus of this protein which is exposed to the extracellular region.
The gene sequence of presenilin-1 does not match any known human gene sequences, therefore its identify and function remain unknown.
