ANTIBODIES
(anti-Human and others as indicated)
RDI Divison of researchd Industries Intl offers a wide line of antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, histochemistry, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.
Background: Beta Amyloid protein is deposited inassociation with extracellular neufibrillary TANGLES, within senile plaques (diffuse and classical) and in vessel walls in a number of neurological diseases. These include Alzheimers disease, down's syndrome, hereditary cerebral hemorrhage with amyloidosis (Dutch type) and in the Guam Parkinson-Dementia complex.Immunohistochemistry is more sensitive than other methods fordetection of the beta amyloid protein.
Catalog#: RDI-BAMYLOID

Antigen: synthetic peptide representing a site on the beta-amyloid
molecule.
Activity: Positive staining can be observed in senile plaque cores, plaque
periphery and diffuse plaques. In some cases staining can be seen in vessel
walls and in extracellular neurofibrillary tangles in Alzheimer's disease.
Application -frozen sections and paraffin sections( pretreated with formic
acid, after immersing sections in ethanol/hydrogen peroxide, incubate sections
in 98-100% formic acid for 3 minutes then rinse in distilled water )
