ANTIBODIES
(anti-Human and others as indicated)
RDI Division of Fitzgerald Industries Intl offers a wide line of antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.
XANTHINE OXIDASE (see below 2antibodies)
Mouse anti-Xanthine Oxidase/Aldehyde Oxidase

NaN3. (Bulk available without BSA/Azide upon request)
concentration 200ug/ml -no BSA cat#RDI-XANTHabm-1XP $750.00/200ug
clone: 145.5
Isotype: mIgG1
Immunogen: his-tagged C-terminal 358 amino acid
fragment of human xanthine oxidase
Reactivity: human,rat, mouse, and rabbit
Uses: -Western blot: 1ug/ml (150kda (XDH) 130kda (A0)
-immunoprecipitation:2ug/mg protein
-histochemistry (frozen and paraffin sections)
12-4ug/ml, paraffin sectiosn require boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer pH6.0 for 10-20minutes followed by cooling to room temp for 20 minutes.
Positive Ctrl: heptatic, pulmonary, intestinal and
renal epithelium, smooth muscle;endothelium;and
Kupffer cells in normal tissues
Localization: Cytoplasmic
Background: Recognizes a protein of 150kDa AND 130KDA. THESE CORRESPOND WITH
150KDA FOR A MONOMER OF XANTHINE DEHYDROGENASE(XDH)
AND 130KDA FOR ALDEHYDE OXIDASE (AO) AND THE PROTEOLYTICALLY IRREVERSIBLY
MODIFIED XANTHINE OXIDASE (XO). In normal tissues the enzyme exists
predominantly as XDH which converts hypoxathine and xanthine to uric acid, a critical plasma antioxidant.
During ischemia, XDH is reversibly converted to the oxygen radical producing XO
by oxidation of essential sulfhydryl groups or
irreversibly through limited proteolytically cleavage
of the amino-termius. AO has a higher affinity for aldehydes than purines but
produces O2- in a manner very similar to XO because both oxidases
possess nearly identical internal electron transport systems. XO and AO share
sequence identity (>49%), similarity (>84%) and cofactor requirements.
Storage: 2-8 deg c
For Research Use Only
DATA SHEET: Rabbit anti-XANTHINE OXIDASE (bovine buttermilk)
Catalog#: RDI-XANTHBabr $312.00/vial
Also available HRP conjugated: cat#RDI-XANTH-HRP $344.00/20mg
Biotin conj: cat#RDI-XANTH-BT $344.00/10mg
Size: 50 mg (lyophilized)
Antibody Concentration: approx 10mg/ml
Buffer: 0.02 M Potassium Phosphate, 0.15 M Sodium Chloride,pH 7.2
Stablizer: None
Preservative: 0.01% (w/v) Sodium Azide
Antigen: bovine buttermilk
Applications: suitable for immunoblotting (western or
dot blot),ELISA, immunoprecipitation,
conjugation and most immunological methods requiring high titer and
specificity.
Recommended Dilutions: Not determined. Optimal titers for applications
should be determined by the researcher.
Reactivity: This polyclonal reacts with xanthine oxidase from buttermilk showing a 275kda band under
non-reducing conditions of SDS-PAGE. Xanthine Oxidase (XO) catalyzes the oxidation of xanthine
to uric acid. XO is a unimolecular, multicomponent electron transport system comprised of
enzyme, two FAD molecules, two atoms of molybdenum and eight atoms of iron.
Cross reactivity with other mammalian forms is expected but not tested.
Storage Conditions: Store vial at 4'C prior to restoration. Re-store with 5.0 ml of deionized water (or equivalent). Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4'C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. For extended storage aliquot contents and freeze at -20'C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Expiration date is one (1)year from date of reconstituion.
For In vitro research Use Only. Not for use in or on humans or animals or for diagnostics.
