  ANTIBODIES

(anti-Human and others as indicated)

RDI Divison of Fitzgerald Industries Intl  offers a wide line of  antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.

Mouse anti-TRANSPORTIN

cat# RDI-TRANSPRTabm      $438.00/vial 50ug

RDI-TRANSPRTabm-1           $750.00/vial 150ug

Background: Transportin is a protein that mediates the nucelocytoplasmic transport of molecules that lack a NLS (nuclear localization sequence), including hnRNP's. The mammalian transportin exports RNA from the nucleus, whereas its yeast counterpart, Kap104p, imports molecules. Transportin whcih is 890 amino acids in length, interacts with a 38 amino acid basic domain (m9) in its cargo proteins.

isotype: mIgG1

package: 50ug (200ul) or 150ug (600ul) (at 0.25mg/ml in 50% glycerol, PBS + 1.5mM NaN3 & 1mg/ml BSA)

antigen: a protein fragment corresponding to amino acids 9-173 from the human transportin sequence

Use: Suitable for western blot on human, dog, rat, chick and mouse under using approx 0.1ug/ml ab on total cell lysate of rat pituitray lysate (positive control) Major band =Mw 101kDa. Also suitable for histochemistry( also on rabbit kidney), immunofluorescence and immunoprecipitation (denaturing or native conditions)

Storage: Store at -20 DEG C upon receipt. Recommend aliquoting. Avoid frequent warming cycles.
