RDI Division of Fitzgerald Industries Intl offers a wide line of antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. derived from hybridization of SP2/o myeloma cells with spleen cells of Balb/c mice immunized with human albumin.
Specificity: -specific for human albumin. No cross reactivity with other human proteins tested. Does not react with bovine serum albumin and egg white albumin.
Application: Suitable for ELISA techniques or radiolabelling, purification of human serum albumin.
western blot (clones 15C7, 1A9 and 6B11)
-clone 6B11 is probably the best since it also is the only of the 3 to see HSA from normal human serum after protein separation by SDS-PAGE without b-mercaptoethanol (non- reducing conditions). All three work under standard reducing contions.

Safety: Although this antibody contains low amounts of sodium azide (0.1%), appropriate care must be taken when using this product. Avoid use of metal drains and flush with copious amounts of water. Note: Upon receipt, tighten cap and centrifuge for 1-2 minutes at 1-2KRPM to concentrate antibody in vial. If desired, add PBS with 0.1% NaN3 to bring concentration to 1mg/ml.see also polyclonal for human albumin

Applications: suitable for immunoblotting (western or dot blot),ELISA,
immunoprecipitation, conjugation and most immunological methods requiring high
titer and specificity.
Recommended Dilutions: Not determined. Optimal titers for applications should
be determined by the researcher.
Storage Conditions: Store vial at 4'C prior to restoration. Re-store with 5.0
ml of deionized water (or equivalent). Centrifuge product if not completely
clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several
weeks at 4'C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. For
extended storage aliquot contents and freeze at -20'C or below. Avoid cycles of
freezing and thawing. Expiration date is one (1)year from date of
reconstituion.
