This clone has bee derived from hybridization of Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells of a Balb/c mice immunized with purified glial fibrillary acidic protein from human brain.
Specificity: Glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP),human
Reactivity: MoAb GF5 reacts with 43-45 kD band corresponding to GFAP in immunoblotting of extract from human brain and spinal cord. There is no cross-reactivity with other neurospecific proteins. Specific antibody titer (ascitic fluid) :120.000 in indirect ELISA.
Mouse isotype: IgG2b
Application: Detection of GFAP in ELISA, indirect immunofluorescence staining and immunohistochemistry.
Presentation:Each vial contains 1 ml of antibodies with concentration 1 mg/ml,
in PBS, pH 7.4, containing 0.1% of sodium azide as preservative. Store at
-20C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Material safety note: This product is sold as an antibody preparation for research purpose only. Standard Laboratory Practices should be followed when handling this material. Contains sodium azide (0.1%) as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling this product.
