These clones have been derived from hybridization of SP2/0 myeloma cells
with spleen cells of a Balb/c mice immunized with
purified human afetoprotein.
Specificity:
Mouse isotype: IgG2a for clone 4A3
IgG1 for clone 5H7
Application:
Purification: Purified by chromatography on protein A Sepharose.
Purity is tested by electrophoresis.
Presentation: Each vial contains 1mg antibodies in 0.1ml (10.5mg/ml) PBS, pH 7.4,containing 0.1% of sodium azide as preservative. Store at +4C. SEE VIAl LABELS
Note: This product is sold as an antibody preparation for research purpose only. Standard Laboratory Practices should be followed when handling this material. Contains sodium azide (0.1%) as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling this product. FOR IN VITRO RESEARCH USE ONLY
NOTE: Recommend centrifuging the unopened vial at 500-1000 RPMfor 2 minutes to concentrate antibody in bottom of vial. If desired, you can add 0.9ml PBS containing 0.1% NaN3 to bring volume to 1mg in 1ml.

Human Alphafetoprotein

Source: Human fetal cord serum. Blood sample from the tissue donor was tested and found negative for HBsAg, HIV-1 ,HIV-2 and HCV antibodies.
Purification: Immunoaffinity chromatography, biospecific chromatography
Presentation: Lyophilized from 0.1M PBS pH 7.2 with 2.5% sucrose and 0.1% NaN3. It is recommended that the product should be reconstituted in distilled water. Dilution should be into other buffers containing 2.5% sucrose and/or serum treated to remove any proteases (or with protease free BSA etc).
Analysis: Purity more 98% according to SDS-PAGE Does not contain albumin, antitrypsin or transferrin
Immunological activity confirmed by reaction with monoclonals which are specific to human alphafetoprotein.
Storage: At -20'C in lyophilized form. After reconstitution the solution should be aliquoted and stored at- 20'C. Avoid frequent freeze thaw cycles.
