  ANTIBODIES

(anti-Human and others as indicated)

RDI Divison of Fitzgerald Industries Intl  offers a wide line of  antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.

Mouse anti-Thomsen-Friedenreich Antigen

-Elisa (use BSA free fomrulation, cat#RDI-THOMFRIabm-1X    $719.00/200ug in 0.2ml

Positive Control: Human colorectal carcinoma tissues, KG1 cells

Localization: membrane

Background: Recognizes a disaccharide epitope, Gal 1-3GalNAc, of Thomsen-Friedenreich (TF) antigen.1-2 It is specific for both anomeric forms of the disaccharide (TF and TF , including related structures on the glycolipid) and shows no cross-reactivity with sialylated glycophorin.1 The Thomsen-Fridenreich antigen acts as an oncofetal antigen, with low expression in normal adult tissues but increasing to fetal levels of expression in hyperplasia or malignancy.2-4 It is considered as a pan-carcinoma marker. This Mab can be applied for the detection of cells with TF-antigen and is especially applicable for sensitive determination of neuraminidases. The antibody can be used on frozen and formalin-fixed, paraffin-fixed tissues and is capable to agglutinate desialylated red blood cells.1

Storage: 2-8 deg c
