RDI Division of Fitzgerald Industries Intl offers a wide line of antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.
RED Blood Cell Product-see below antibodies and pure cell suspensions

Rabbit anti-Red Blood cell antibodies:
prepared by immunization with washed intact red blood cells of the species listed.
IgG and IgM fractions of high titer antisera are isolated by salt fractionation and ion exchange chromotography. The IgG fractions are tetsed against their immunogens, analyzed for immunoglobulin purity ad protein concentration and then sterile filtered. The IgG & IgM fractions are sold as sterile filtered frozen products in PBS pH 7.8
-Fluorochrome conjugated products are prepared by the covalent coupling of fluorescein or Texas Red (tm) to high titer IgG antibodies. The conjugates are purified to remove free fluorochrome, under-conjugated and over-conjugated antibodies. The fluorochrome conjugated IgG products are sold as frozen reagents in PBS pH7.8 with 0.05% sodium azide.

Animal red blood cells (glutaraldehyde stabilized 10%) *unless indicated
Glutaraldehyde Stabilized Animal Red Blood Cells are produced from freshly washed animal RBC's by brief exposure to a glutaraldehye-buffer solution and exhaustive washing in saline. This treatment largely preserves the native antigenicity of the erythrocytes while rendering the cells generally resistant to lysis by osmotic shock, freeze-thawing or immune hemolysis. These reagents are used directly in hemagglutination procedures, or may be coupled with various proteins for hemagglutination testing. The glutaraldehyde stabilized RBcs are available as cell suspension in saline with 0.1% sodium azide.

Tanned Sheep Red Blood Cell Reagents (inquire for larger quantities)
-produced by coupling purified human serum proteins to glutaraldehyde stabilized sheep RBCs with tannic acid. The sensitized stabilized sheep RBCs are useful reagents in hemagglutination testing of antibodies and in the hemagglutination inhibition testing of other serum proteins. These reagents are supplied lyophilzied. Reconstitute to the volume on the vial with distilled water to give saline cell suspensions containing 0.1% sodium azide

10% Red blood cell suspensions (washed fresh from sheep, rat, mouse, guinea pig and hamster are available as stabilized 10% suspensions. The whole blood is aseptically collected and prpared to order from our colony of animals. These washed cell suspensions are useful for the titration of complement, absorption procedures,testing or agglutinins, and for the preparation of stroma as particulate reagents.
