Clone: XM207 or HPRO-2 :These clone has been derived from hybridization of Sp2/0 myeloma cells with spleen cells of a Balb/c mice immunised with conjugate of purified progesterone with BSA.

Specificity: Progesterone, Ka = 3.0*109 M-1

Reactivity:            MoAb XM207 reacts with progesterone in ELISA.

Mouse isotype:     IgG2b

Application:         Detection of progesterone.

Purification:         Purified by ion exchange chromatography. Purity is tested by electrophoresis.

Presentation:        Each vial contains antibodies in 0,15 M NaCl, 10 mM Tris, pH 7.5, containing 0,05% of sodium azide as preservative. Store at + 4 °C (<10 months) or at - 20 °C (for longer period).

Material safety note: This product is sold as an antibody preparation for research purpose only. Standard Laboratory Practices should be followed when handling this material. Contains sodium azide (0,05%) as preservative. Although the amount of sodium azide is very small appropriate care must be taken when handling this product.

PRESENTATION: Each monoclonal is delivered in a sealed vial at a concentration of 1mg in phosphate buffered saline containing 10mM sodium azide. We recommend that each laboratory determine an optimum working titre for use in its particular application.

STORAGE: Purified monoclonal antibodies are generally stable for long periods at 4oC. However repeated warming to room temperature and re-cooling may result in a loss of activity and hence effective working titre. It is recommended that monoclonal antibodies are aliquotted upon receipt and then stored at -20 DGE C. After thawing they should then be used as a stock solution for up to 60 days. Dilute working solutions are best prepared on the day of use.

I have listed below some of the polyclonal antibodies we can supply which may work in various Elisa configurations. For a truely sensitive Elisa, you will probably need to use an amplified system (ie, use biotinylated Progesterone as a "tracer" and then HRP-Streptavidin, coupled with TMB for color generation. Please see our special Poly-HRP-Streptavidin, our HRP-Conjugate stabilizer, and our TMB-SX which when combined will allow extremely sensitive assay production. We can also supply many derivatives including a Progesterone-11-hemisucinate:Biotin (approx $1875.0/milligram) or a Progesterone-11-hemisuccinate:HRP upon request. For iodinated (RIA) assay, we also have the Progesterone-11-histamine ($1875.00/mg). Other Quotes on request.
