ANTIBODIES
(anti-Human and others as indicated)
RDI Division of Fitzgerald Industries Intl offers a wide line of antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.
ANTI-Desmocollin 1 (see also desmocollin 2 & 3 antibodies)
Mab to Desmocollin 1 cat#RDI-PRO65192, new cat#: 10R-D102a $412.50/5ml
Clone Dsc1-U100
Category Mouse monoclonal
Immunoglobulin Class IgG1
Form/Purification Cell culture supernatant
Antigen Synthetic peptide corresponding to sequence present within the intracellular part of human desmocollin 1.
Clinical Application/ Mab localizes Dsc1 present in suprabasal layers of interfollicular epidermis
· specific cell layers (e.g. in hair follicle root sheath)
· Hassall bodies (spheroidal formations of densely packed reticulum-derived cells in the thymus).
All simple epithelia are negative.
Reactivities on Cultured Positive on primary keratinocytes, however,
Cell Lines (tested so far) restricted to local piles of differentiated cells.
Application Suitable for
o immunohistochemistry on frozen and paraffin embedded sections
o immunoblotting (Western)
Storage At 4°C
Volume 5 ml
Polypeptide Reacting 111 kD (form "a") and 103 kD (form "b") polypeptides (desmocollin 1 splice forms, both at pI 5.2) from human epidermal desmosomes.
Antigen Recognized in Species (tested so far) Specific for human desmocollin 1;
negative with bovine and rodent material.
Recommendation: For better resolution on frozen sections preincubation (directly after fixation) with 0.05-.0.2% triton X-100, for 5-10 min, depending upon tissue type (see ref #2). Without detergent pretreatment a cytoplasmic component might cross react (e.g. in fibroblasts)
Working Dilution Ready-to-use for immunohistochemistry
Incubation Time 1 h at RT for immunohistochemistry
