ANTIBODIES
(anti-Human and others as indicated)
RDI Division of Fitzgerald Industries Intl offers a wide line of antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.
ANTI-Plakophilin 1 (two clones see below)
Mab to Plakophilin 1
cat#RDI-PRO65160, new cat#: 10R-P130a $412.50/5ml
Clone PP1-5C2
Category Mouse monoclonal
Immunoglobulin Class IgG1
Form/Purification Cell culture supernatant
Antigen Plakophilin 1 ("band 6 polypeptide" of bovine muzzle epidermis)
Clinical Application/ Specificity Antibody recognizes plakophilin 1 in diverse stratified epithelia, in complex epithelia (e.g. urothelium of the bladder and tracheal epithelium) and in glandular duct epithelia; squamous cell carcinoma are positive, adenocarcinoma tested so far are negative!
Application - Western blot technique
- Immunohistochemistry on cryostat and paraffin-embedded tissue sec-tions (P)
- ELISA
Storage At 4°C
Volume 5 ml
Polypeptide Reacting Plakophilin 1: calculated mol.
wt. 80,496 (human) and 80,180 (bovine)
Antigen Recognized in Species (tested so far) Human; cow, pig, Xenopus
laevis
Reactivities on Cultured Cell Lines (tested so far) HaCaT, A-431
Working Dilution Ready-to-use for immunohistochemistry
Incubation Time 1 h at RT (forzen sections) or overnight at 2-8°C (for
paraffin sections)
Recommendations: For better resolution on frozen sections, preincubate
(directly after fixation) with 0.05%-0.2% Triton X-100, for 5-10 min, depending
on tissue type, is recommended (see ref 3)
-For delicate tissue like liver and gastrointestinal material , preincubation with saponin is preferred to triton.
- For immunolocalization studies on electron microscopic
level, preincubation with 0.1-1% saponin is recommended.
