  ANTIBODIES

(anti-Human and others as indicated)

RDI Divison of researchd Industries Intl  offers a wide line of  antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.

ANTI-Gastric Inhibitory Peptide (GIP)  (polyclonal)
Polyclonal Antibody to GIP (Gastric Inhibitory Peptide)

Cat#RDI-PRO16026   $281.00

Category                   Rabbit polyclonal

Form/Purification     Prediluted rabbit serum (lyoph.)

Immunogen               Pure porcine GIP

Description/Specificity GIP occurs in endocrine cells in the small intestine. GIP is released upon feeding, particularly after carbohydrate-rich food, and is known to sensitize the insulin cells to rise in blood sugar and is thus involved in the insular axis. GIP also inhibits gastric acid secretion.

Absorption with 10 - 100 µg immunogen per ml diluted antiserum abolishes the staining, while CCK-39, VIP and secretin do not.

Positive Control Formalin-fixed paraffin sections of pig jejunum.

Species tested so far Pig, human

Application · Immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence  · Suitable for paraffin and frozen sections

Reconstitution Dissolve the antiserum in 1 ml distilled water, and dilute further in 0.1 M PBS with 1% BSA and 0.1% NaN3.

Working Dilution 1:5 - 1:10 using PAP

1:2 - 1:5 using immunofluorescence microscopy with overnight incubation at 2-8°C.

Storage At 2-8°C (lyoph.) or at -20°C (aliquots)

Quantity / Volume 1 ml (lyoph.)

For Research Use Only
