RDI Division of Fitzgerald Industries Intl  offers a wide line of  antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.

Package Size: 200 micrograms in 0.2ml (1mg/ml)10mM Tris-   HCl, pH 8.0, 0.15M NaCl and 0.05% NaN3

Species: mouse IgG1 purified via DEAE cellulose chromatography

Antigen: HPLC purified human phospholipase A2 (isolated from sperm)

Specificity: specific for human type II 14kDa (secretory) PLA2 from sperm, human disc and synovial fluid; does not react with PLA2 isolated from porcine pancreas or cobra. Can see the 18kDa PLA2 of rattlesnake venom.

Activity: Western blot: 5-10 micrograms/ml to detect approx 10ng PLA2 (run under non-reducing conditions)

               -MUST TITER FOR EACH APPLICATION

              -ELISA; 1:300 to detect 3-28 nanograms PLA2

             -histochemistry: 10ug/ml

Storage: Upon receipt, store at -20 DEG C or below. -aliquot and store at - 20 DEG C. Avoid   frequent freeze thaw cycles.

Upon first thaw or on receipt, tighten cap, centrifuge at 1000 rpm for 1-2 minutes to concentrate antibody in bottom of vial.

Specificity: specific for pancreatic and low molecular weight porcine cellular PLA2 (also reactive with rat, mouse and rabbit PLA2). approx 20% reactivity with human PLA2.

Activity: Western blot: 2 micrograms/ml
