Clinical Application/
Specificity p16, a protein implicated in cancer, is a specific inhibitor for CDK4 and CDK6.
It binds to phospho-rylated CDK-cyclin complex. p16 is lost in the majority of
tumor cell lines and in most primary tu-mors. It is not expressed in melanoma.
The antibody is especially useful for immunoprecipitation.
