RDI Divison of Fitzgerald Industries Intl offers a wide line of antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.
The matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are a family of enzymes responsible for the degradation of extracellular matrix components. Of the sixteen proteins reported to date, ten are normally found as soluble molecules. Several other MMP proteins have been shown to be integral membrane proteins and have been named MT-MMP's for membrane bound MMP.
MM-10, also known as stromelysin-2 is the second member of the stromelysin subfamily and a potent MMP with similar substrate specificities as stromelysin 1. Its gene maps to chromosome 11 and its mRNA is expressed in a variety of cells and tissues including fibroblasts, keratinocytes as well as by a number of tumors such as oral squamous carcinoma, head and neck squamous cell carcinomas. The enzyme exists as an inactive pro form with a molecular weight of approx 56kDa which becomes activated by proteolytic cleavage to an active 47kDa form. Once activated MMP-10 can itself activate pro-MMP-1, pro-MMP-7, pro-MMP-8 and pro-MMP-9 but not pro-MMP-2 or pro-MMP-3.
Catalog#: RDI-MMP10abm-9b Price: $438.00/vial
Package Size: 100ug (lyophilized) with 100ug BSA. Reconstitute with 1ml sterile
PBS pH 7.4 or sterile 20mM Tris-saline (20mM Tris containing 0.15 NaCl).
Let set at least 2 hours at 4 DEG C. Mix well before using. If suitable for
use, addition of 0.1% sodium azide is recommended.
Ig Isotype: mouse IgG1
Antigen: synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 250-268 of human MMP-10
- A S T E E P L V P T K S V P S G S E M
Reactivity: Binds to human MMP-10. It also reacts slightly with MMP-3. The antibody reacts both the pro form (56kDa) and the active form (47kDa) of human MMP-10. not epitope mapped
Suitable for: western blotting (10ug/ml)using chemiluminescence detection
-not tested for other applications
Positive Control: culture media of OSC-20 cells
General Ref: -Biochem 28:5195-5203
-Eur J. Biochem 253:67-75
Storage: Store 4 DEG C or lower. Avoid frequent freeze thaw cycles. Antibody is stable for at least 6 months when stored frozen undiluted and up to 1 month at 4 DEG C when neat or diluted as per above recommendation. For prolonged storage add 0.02% thimerosal or 0.1% azide.
