RDI Division of Fitzgerald Industries Intl  offers a wide line of  antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Anti-lymphocyte sera (ALS) and anti-thymocyte sera (ATS) are heteroantisera prepared in rabbit according to Davis et al; Surgery, 66:58 (196). Each ALS/ATS product is sterile filtered and supplied with a product Potency Data sheet which gives information on that particular lot's cytotoxic antibody titer to thymocytes and splenocytes, using referenced test methods.

Agglutinating antibody titers, sterility test data and storage conditions are also supplied

Anti-Mouse Lymphocyte, anti-rat lymphocyte and anti-hamsetr lymphocyte antisrea are made using RBC-free thymus and spleen cells from outbred mice, rats and hamsters respectively. These antisera generally exhibit strong cytotoxic antibody for both thymus and spleen cell targets.

Anti-Mouse Thymocyte, and anti-Rat thymocyte antisera are made using RBC-free mouse and rat thymocytes respectively. These antisera generally exhibit stronger cytotoxic and agglutinating antibody titers to thymocytes than to spleen cells (4 to 8 fold greater)

Adsorbed anti-mouse thymocyte and adsorbed anti-rat thymocyte antisera are anti-thymocyte absorbed with mouse spleen cells and rat spleen cells respectively. These absorbed antisera generally show >10 fold cytoxic antibody titers for thymocyts than for spleen cells.

Sterile IgG fractions, >98% IgG in phosphate buffered saline (suitable for radioiodination), and FITC conjugated gamma globulin fractions with sodium azide are availale for all these antisera, adsorbed antisera and normal rabbit sera. Product Potency Data Sheets for sterile IgG fractions give concentration and sterility test information. The Product Potency information for FITC conjugates includes: fluorescein to protein ratio, protein concentration, cellular specificity and sensitivity. Additional information concerning cytotoxic and agglutinating antibody in the whole antisera from which the IgG fractions and conjugated antibodies originated, and recommended dosages is available upon request.

Control sera and normal rabbit IgG, sterile in phosphate buffered saline or conjugated with sodium azide preservative are available from the same stock of New Zealand White rabbits which are used for our antisera production.

-Lymphocytes removed from the lymphoid organs of normal Swiss-Webster mice and Sprague-Dawley derived rats are shipped ambient within 48 hours of collection. Cell concentration is 2 million washed viable cells/ml in RPMI-1640 with 100ug/ml of neomycin. Cell viability is >90% by trypan blue exclusion (at time of preparation). These cells are useful to prepare lymphokines and as starting material to isolate lymphocyte subsets. Lymphocytes from other mouse and rat strains as well as other cell populations are available as custom products.

also available Titered Interleukin 2

-Interleukin 2 (Il-2) is a lymphokine that exhibits Tcell growth factor activity. It is used for the continuous proliferation of activated T-lymphocytes in culture. We prepare three titered forms of interleukin 2 from lectin stimulated mouse lymphocytes and rat lymphocytes. These IL-2 products are assayed using a characterized IL-2 dependent T cell line by the method of Gillis et al, J. Immunol., 120:2027 (1978).  Products are sterile filtered and suppled with product potency information

Interleukin-2, supernatant is the supernatant from mouse or rat lymphocyte cultures stimulated with optimal concentrations of lectins for up to 48 hours.

-Interleukin 2, concentrate is prepared from interleukin 2 supernatnt by concentration and the removal of lectin

Interleukin 2, purified is IL-2 prepared from interleukin 2, supernatant by using a sequence of procedures which yield a lectin free, high IL-2 titer sterile product.
