ANTIBODIES
(anti-Human and others as indicated)
RDI Division of Fitzgerald Industries Intl offers a wide line of antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.
Catalog Number: RDI-ALS24367 $312.00/100ug
RDI-ALS24367 $1875.00/1mg
Lot Number:
Quantity: 100ug in 100ul (1 mg/ml) in PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide.
Description: Telomere length maintenance, an activity essential for chromosome stability and genome integrity, is regulated by telomerase- and telomere-associated factors. The DNA repair protein Ku (a heterodimer of Ku70 and Ku80 subunits) associates with mammalian telomeres and contributes to telomere maintenance. The Ku heterodimer functions at two kinds of DNA ends: telomeres and double-strand breaks. The role that Ku plays at these two classes of termini must be distinct, because Ku is required for accurate and efficient joining of double-strand breaks while similar DNA repair events are normally prohibited at chromosome ends.
Host Species: Rabbit
Specificity: Reacts with residues 323-338 [FSKVDEEQMKYKSEGK] of the 80 kDa Ku80 protein. Sequence is 100% conserved between human, mouse rat and hamster.
Applications: Western blot - Use at 1:500 dilution. However, the investigator should determine the optimal dilution for a specific application such as immunohistochemistry.
Format: Affinity purified IgG
Storage: Maintain at +2-8°C for 3 months or at -20°C for longer periods. Stable for 1 year. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Reference: Park S. J. et al. J Biol Chem. 2004 Feb 13;279(7):6046-55.
