ANTIBODIES
(anti-Human and others as indicated)
RDI Divison of researchd Industries Intl offers a wide line of antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.
cat#RDI-GABABabgp $406.00/50ug
-neat guinea pig serum
-immunogen: a synthetic protein containing a GABA B receptor
sequence N'- P S E P P D R L S C D G S R H L L Y K (derived from aa 941-960 of GabaBR1a and aa 825-844 of GABABR1B
-specificity:mouse and rat GABA receptors
-use: western blot and immunohistochemical staining of frozen tissue sections (recommend formalin-picric acid mixture (4% paraformaldehye and 0.4% picric acid in 0.16M phosphate Buffer pH6.9 for approx 90minutes followed by 24 hour rinse in 0.1M phosphate buffer pH7.4 containing 10% sucrose.)
-for immunofluorescence, recommend using a 1:2500 dilution of primary for 12 hours 4 DEG C and detect with a Cy3 conjugated secondary antibody.
-in western blot of rat and mouse brain lysates, the antibodies recognize a major band of approx 120kDa. In immunohistochemistry, the antibodies give strong staining in many different brain regions, the cerbellum in particular. In the cerbellum, the antibodies stain Purkinje cells, including the dendritic processes. Within individual neurons, the staining primarily localizes to the plasma membrane. Positive control formalin fixed frozen rat brain section(cerbellum) shows strong immunostaining in the cell bodies and dendrities of Purkinkje cells.
