Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. derivation: generated in mice immunized with highly purified soluble VEGFR- protein expressed in insect cells. Purified by chromatography

Storage: Store at 4 DEG C Up to 1 week or aliquot and store at -20 DEG C. Recommend adding 0.1% BSA/HSA and 0.09% sodium azide for other preservative to dilution buffers if not used for live cells applications.

Use: -Flow cytometry: to detect surface expressed VEGFR-2 on HUVECS and CD34+VEGFR-S+ hematopoietic immature cells by FACS analysis this antibody can be used at concentrations of 0.2-0.4ug/well.

3 Step staining protocol:

a) 0.5ug/ml scFVA7 followed by HRP labeled mouse anti-E Tag or non conjugated anti-E Tag (1:2500) followed by donkey anti-mouse IgG:PE

-Elisa: It is recommended that a range of dilutions be utilized in preliminary experiments to determine optimal concentrations for use of this antibody. For most applications, the anti-human VEGFR-2 antibody should be diluted between 1:1000 and 1:10,000 fold.

-histochemistry:acetone fixed frozen sections (10ug/ml) (kidney as positive control)

-immunofluorescence:acetone:Methanol fixed cells (0.5- 5ug/ml)

-does not work in western blot

-not neutralizing, no cross with VEGFR-1

It has not been tested whether the antibody blocks the binding of VEGF.
