Antigen: Purified human Factor XI (from human plasma)
Specificity: absorbed to remove non-factor 11 reactivites. By immunodffusion,
a sinlge precipitin line with normal plasma. No reaction with factor XI deficient
plasma.
Titer: must be determined with each method (in an inhibition assay, approx
175 units/ml (35u/mg IgG) agaianst pooled normal human plasma in a conventional
Bethesda inhibitor assay
Application: immunoassays of factor IX
Storage: Store at -20 DEG C or lower. AVOID FREQUENT FREEZE THAW CYCLES.
Do not freeze diluted antibody.

Isolation: This human factor XIa was purified from human plasma that was tested and found negative for HIV-1, HIV-2, HBSAg and HCV. Donors are screened for CJD (Cretzfeldt-Jacob Disease)
Purity: This human Factor XIa was activated from homogeneous human factor XI using human factor XIIa. This XIIa was removed using a corn trypsin inhibitor column. Complete activated was observed on 10% SDS-PAGE gels.
