ANTIBODIES
(anti-Human and others as indicated)
RDI Divison of researchd Industries Intl offers a wide line of antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.
Background: The cytoskeleton has been suggested to be one of the important endogenous factors that control neuronal morphogenesis. Analysis of the developmental changes in the protein composition of the brain led to the discovery of novel developmental regulated actin-bonding proteins, drebins. Drebins exhibit a number of characteristics that one might expect for an intracellular regulator of neuronal morphogenesis. In chicken, drebin has three isoforms ad the mRNA of each isoform is transcribed from a single gene through alternative RNA splicing mechanisms. The expression pattern of each isoform is regulated spatially and temporally in the developing brain. Drebin and tropomyosin competitively bind to actin filaments, and the exclusion of tropomyosin from actin filaments by overexpression of drebin in fibroblasts results in the appearance of thick, curving bundles of actin filaments and the formation of cell processes.
cat# RDI-DREBINabm $500.00/1 vial
Packaging: lyophilized antibody. Reconstitute with 0.1ml distilled water
to yield 1.0mg/ml IgG in PBS pH 7.2 with 10mg/ml sucrose and 0.1% sodium
azide. Allow to set at least 30 minutes, mix well. If desired, centrifuge
1-2 minutes 1000 rpm to concentrate antibody in vial.
Clone: M2F6 Isotype:mIgG1
Immunogen: purified chicken debrin E
Hybridoma: mouse myeloma cell X-63-Ag-8-653) with Balb/c spleen cell
Purification: purified from ascites fluid by ammonium sulfate precipitation
and affinity chromatography on protein A.
Specificity: This antibody recognizes chicken drebin E and crossreacts with
rat, guinea pig, cat and human antigens, drebin E and A.
-western blot (approx 1-5ug/ml ) see ref#1 (2-3 hours RT or overnight 4 DEG C with chemiluminescence visualization, bands depend on species & isoform).

Storage: Lyophilized antibody is stable for at least 1 year from date of shipment when stored at 4 DEG C. Reconstituted antibody should be stored at 4 DEG C short term (up to 3 months) then aliquoted and frozen at -20 DEG C (in non frostfree freezer). Avoid frequent freeze thaw cycles. For In Vitro Research Use Only

cat#RDI-PROGP823 $469.00
Specific for drebrin isoforms E2 and A, widespread actin-associating proteins of 70 kD (SDS-PAGE mobility shows Mr 120,000). Drebrin has originally been described only in neuronal cells, but has been found also in the actin-rich lamellipodia and filopodia of motile cells. It is enriched at junctional plaques, defining a specific microfilament anchorage system in polar epithelial cells. Negative: hepatocytes, cross-striated muscle.
