RDI Divison of researchd Industries Intl  offers a wide line of  antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.


Dopamine beta hydroxylase (DBH) or Dopamine beta monooxygenase belongs to the copper type II, ascorbate-dependent monooxygenase family. DBH mediates conversion of dopamine to noradrenaline. It requires PQQ, copper, and ascorbate for enzyme activity. DBH exists as both in a soluble form (in chromaffin granules) and as membrane bound anchored by its signal peptide. Its activity is enhanced by nerve growth factor, reserpine, acetylcholine, and glucocorticoids. There are two known forms of the enzymes: DBH-A and DBH-B, which differ in one position.  Human DBH is 603 aa protein (mouse 621 aa; rat 620 aa, bovine 610 aa). DBH also contains a signal peptide that is cleaved in the soluble form.

Rabbit anti-Dopamine beta-Hydroxylase (DBH) Antibodies

Cat# RDI-DBHabrx or RDI-DOPBDHabrx   $469.00/vial

Presentation: 100ug affinity pure antibody (LYOPHILIZED from (1mg/ml) 100mM Tris pH7.5, with 0.2% BSA and 0.05% sodium azide.

Reconstitution: add at least 50ul DI water (ideally 250ul buffer with 0.2% BSA and 0.05% sodium azide), let set at least 30 minutes, mix gently. if desired can centrifuge 1-2 minutes at 1000 rpm to concentrate material in vial. -Recommend diluting to no less than 10ug/ml sotck in a PBS or Tris buffer with 0.2% BSA or other carrier and 0.05% sodium azide.

Purification: peptide affinity purified.

Reconstitution: All peptide/antibody received in solution or reconstituted from Lyophilized vials should be stored frozen at -20oC or below in suitable aliquots. It is not recommended to store diluted solutions. Avoid repeated freeze and thaw.

Antigen: An 18-aa peptide sequence mapping at the N-terminus of human DBH (1) was selected for antibody production. The peptide was coupled to KLH, and antibodies generated in rabbits.

Specificity: the peptide seuqence used to generate this antibody is 83% conserved in mouse, rat, and bovine DBH. Anti-human DBH reacts with human, mouse, and rat. Other species not tested.

Uses: Western Blotting 0.5-2ug/ml dilution is recommended using ECL technique. Human DBH ~70-75 kDa in human adrenal medulla.

ELISA Control peptide can be used to coat ELISA plates at 1 ug/ml and detected with antibodies (1:10-50K for neat serum and 0.5-1 ug/ml for affinity pure).

Histochemistry & Immunofluorescence We recommend 10-20ug/ml in formaldehyde fixed, cryopreserved tissues.

Control peptide: cat#RDI-DBHX-CP,$188.00/100ug -because of its low mol. Wt (<3 kDa), is not suitable for Western. It should be used for ELISA or antibody blocking to confirm antibody specificity.

Mouse anti-Dopamine beta-Hydroxylase (DBH) Antibodies

Presentation: 100ul neat ascites (lyophilized with 0.05% sodium azide).

Reconstitution: Add 100ul sterile DI water, let set at least 30 minutes at 4 DEG C. Gently mix well. If desired, centrifuge 1-2 minutes at 1000 rpm to concentrate material in vial.

Purification: none
