  ANTIBODIES

(anti-Human and others as indicated)

RDI Divison of Fitzgerald Industries Intl  offers a wide line of  antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.

DESMOGLEIN 1 (see two clones below)

-see also other desmoglein antibodies from the alphabetical list

Mab to Desmoglein 1

Cat#RDI-PRO651111 $345.00/vial

Clone                          Dsg1-P124

Category                     Mouse monoclonal

Immunoglobulin          Class IgG2a

Form/Purification       Hybridoma culture supernatant

Antigen                        Recombinant human polypeptide Desmoglein 1 (extra-cellular part EII, EIII and EIV)

Description/Specificity In immunoblots of cytoskeletal preparations from human skin the antibody reacts specifically with a 160 kD polypep-tide typical for Desmoglein 1. In immunolocalization studies the mab shows typical staining of suprabasal layers of the epidermis and special regions of fetal anagen hair follicles. The staining pattern observed corresponds to those ob-tained with pemphigus foliaceus patient sera. Cross-reaction with Desmogleins 2 and 3 was not detected.

Antigen Recognized in Species           Human

(tested so far)

Application Suitable for

         · immunohistochemistry on frozen sections

        · immunohistochemistry on paraffin-embedded tissue after MICROWAVE treatment

         · immunoblotting (Western)

Recommendations For better resolution on frozen sections preincubation (di-rectly after fixation) with 0.05 - 0.2% Triton X-100 for 5 -10 min, depending on tissue type, is recommended (ref. 2).

For better staining on paraffin sections preincubation with 0.001% trypsin and addition of 2% milk powder to the incu-bation media is recommended

Working Dilution       Ready-to-use for immunohistochemistry

Incubation Time         1 h at RT for immunohistochemistry

Storage                       At 2-8°C

Quantity                      5 ml (contains 0.09% NaN3)
