SPECIFICITY The antibody recognises endothelin ET-1 (10% cross-reactivity with ET-3) and when
used in conjunction with CBL
87 (anti-C-terminal endothelin) has a sensitivity
of 0.06pmol/l for ET-1.
APPLICATIONS
*Development of IRMA assays for endothelin ET-1 which as a circulating plasma peptide has been associated with a variety of disease studies such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiogenic shock, acute myocardial infarction and uraemia
*Suitable for immunocytochemistry on frozen sections
PRESENTATION The monoclonal is presented at a concentration of 1mg in
phosphate buffered saline containing 10mM sodium azide.
We recommend that each laboratory determine an optimum working titre for use in its particular
application.
STORAGE For use within 1 month of purchase store at +4oC, for
long term storage aliquot antibody into small volumes and store at -20oC.

Note: These antibodies bind epitopes on the cytoplasmic side of the receptors, thus the cell membrane
must be permeable to antibodies. They will not block binidng
of endothelin to the receptors.
Specificity: Tested with endothelin B receptor transfected COS cells. reacts with
human, mouse and sheep.
Storage: Store at 4 DEG C (short term,) -20 DEG C long term. Avoid frequent
freeze thawcycles.
