  ANTIBODIES

(anti-Human and others as indicated)

RDI Divison of Fitzgerald Industries Intl  offers a wide line of  antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.

ANTI-CALMODULIN    (3 clones)
DATA SHEET: mouse anti-Calmodulin (Multi-species)

Catalog#: RDI-Calmodabm

Price: $562.00/100ug vial,

Package Size: 100 micrograms IgG1 in PBS

Species: mouse IgG1

Antigen: thyroglobulin conjugated purified peptide corresponding to the CARBOXY terminal amino acids 128-148 of bovine brain calmodulin.

Specificity: Highly specific for intact vertebrate calmodulin by RIA; reacts with unmodified and phosphorylated or glycated calmodulin; reacts with calcium free and calcium saturated calmodulin; reacts with plant calmodulin, all vertebrate calmodulins are identical, DOES NOT react with structurally similar troponin, parvalbumin or bovine brain S100 or beta

Optimal titers must be determined empirically by each end user.

USE: Western blot: 1ug/ml to detect 10ng calmodulin

          Immunoprecipitation:
          RIA: 10ug/ml

Storage: Store in aliquots at -20 DEG C for up to one year. Avoid frequent freeze thaw cycles.

Precautions: For In vitro research Use Only. Not for use in or on humans or animals or for diagnostics.

Control available(bovine): 1mg $281.00 cat#RDI-CALMOD-AG

>95% pure lyophilized powder, for positive control in western blots, and in calmodulin dependent enzyme and protein activation. Highly active, specificactivity is 60KU/mg where 1 unit is equal to the amount of calmodulin activity promoting 50% maximal activation of phosphodiesterase in a standard calmodulin dependent phosphodiesterase assay, inhibited by EDTA and EGTA,

Calmodulin from human brain

Catalog # RDI-TRK8C10   $625.00/mg   $500.00/mg 3+

Source: Human brain tissue.Blood sample from the tissue donor was tested and found negative for HBsAg,HIV virus type 1 and 2 antibodies, HCV , syphilis

Presentation: Essential salt free, lyophilized power

Activity: Activity is more than 40000 units per 1 mg of protein. One unit will stimulate 0,016 activated units of phosphodiesterase, 3':5'-cyclic nucleotide, P 0520, to 50% of the maximum activity of the enzyme when saturated with activator.

Purity: more 98% by SDS gel electrophoresis

For Research Use Only

Mouse anti-Calmodulin Monoclonal ab-2D1

cat# RDI-Calmod2D1  $469.00/vial

isotype: mIgG1

clone: 2D1

package: 200ul of diluted ascites fluid with 0.05% sodium   azide added

antigen: produced from a fusion of SP-2/0 myeloma cells and spleenocytes cells from Balb/c mice immunized with purified CaM from dictyostelium discoideum strain AX3 conjugated to KLH.

Specificity: recognizes calmodulin in bovine, rat and chicken brain, Chlamydomonas and Dictyostelium. No cross with parvalbumin, troponin, S-100, and myosin Light Chain Kinase.

-In competition assays, was shown to react with SDS-denatured BUT NOT native bovine brain calmodulin. The addition of EGTA to buffers completely inhibits antibody staining.

Use: -Western blot 1:500 recognizes approx 17Kda band

        -immunolocalization: 1:100

        -ELISA:

Storage: Store at -20 DEG C upon receipt. Avoid frequent freeze thaw cycles. Recommend aliquoting. BEFORE OPENING, suggest centrifuging for 1 minute at 1000 RPM to concentrate material in vial.

Precautions: For In vitro research Use Only. Not for use in or on humans or animals or for diagnostics.

Mouse anti-Calmodulin Monoclonal ab-6D4

cat# RDI-Calmod-6D4     $469.00/vial

isotype: mIgG1

clone: 6D4

package: 200ul of diluted ascites fluid with 0.05% sodium azide added

antigen: produced from a fusion of SP-2/0 myeloma cells and spleenocytes cells from Balb/c mice immunized with purified CaM from dictyostelium discoideum strain AX3 conjugated to KLH.

Specificity: recognizes calmodulin in bovine, rat and chicken brain, Chlamydomonas and Dictyostelium. No cross with parvalbumin, troponin, S-100, and myosin Light Chain Kinase.

-In competition assays, was shown to react with both SDS-denatured AND native bovine brain calmodulin. The addition of EGTA to buffers partially inhibits antibody staining.

Use: -Western blot 1:2000 recognizes approx 17Kda band

        -immunolocalization: 1:100

        -ELISA:

Storage: Store at -20 DEG C upon receipt. Avoid frequent freeze thaw cycles. Recommend aliquoting. BEFORE OPENING, suggest centrifuging for 1 minute at 1000 RPM to concentrate material in vial.
