ANTIBODIES
(anti-Human and others as indicated)
RDI Divison of researchd Industries Intl offers a wide line of antibodies. Since
no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting,
ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this
problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not
listed below.
cat# RDI-BARREST1abm $438.00/vial 50ug
RDI-BARREST1abm-1 $750.00/vial 150ug
Background: B arrestins were discovered by their ability to modulate the
interactions between the phosphorylated B2-Adrenergic receptors and G proteins.
This modulation resulted in a diminished B2-adrenergic receptor function,
also known as desensitization. Because arrestins are found at the synaptic
terminals, they may provide a termination mechanism that allows the neurons
to regain their original polarization and respond to a new neurotransmitter
stimulus. The C-terminal region of arrestins is involved in selecting the
phosphorylated and activated adrenergic receptors. The B-arrestin 1 gene
encodes for a protein of 418 amino acids with an approx molecular weight
of 55kDa. B-arrestin 1 is highly homologous to the 45kDa B-arrestin 2. Both
proteins are widely expressed, but are especially abundant in the central
nervous system.
