(anti-Human and others as indicated)

RDI Divison of researchd Industries Intl  offers a wide line of  antibodies. Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Please inquire for other applications or types of antibodies not listed below.

Rabbit anti-Rattin (Humanin-like) Polyclonal Antibody

Catalog Number: RDI-ALS24359     $312.00/100ug

                            RDI-ALS24359X   $1875.00/1mg

Lot Number:

Quantity: 100ug in 100uml (1 mg/ml) in PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide.

Description: A novel rat gene, Rattin, encodes a peptide homologous to Humanin, a secreted peptide that specifically protects against neuronal cell death induced by beta-amyloid peptide (Ab) or by mutations causing early-onset familial Alzheimer's disease. Rattin is the prototype of a novel class of peptides, phylogenetically related to Humanin, endowed with protective activity not only against Ab but also toward excitotoxic neuronal death. The rat gene, Rattin, encodes a peptide of 38 residues (15 residues longer than Humanin) showing 73% identity in the conserved region to Humanin.

Host Species: Rabbit

Specificity: Reacts with residues 20-35 [VKRLESPNKTRRPYGA] of the Rattin peptide, which is not in the conserved region to Humanin.

Applications: Western blot - Use at 1:500 dilution. However, the investigator should determine the optimal dilution for a specific application such as immunohistochemistry.

Format: Affinity purified IgG

Storage: Maintain at +2-8°C for 3 months or at -20°C for longer periods. Stable for 1 year. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
