Description: HAP40 is a 40-kDa Huntingtin-associated protein. It is likely to contribute to the function of normal huntingtin and is a candidate for involvement in the aberrant nuclear localization of mutant huntingtin found in degenerating neurons in Huntington's disease.

Host Species: Rabbit

Specificity: Reacts with residues 314-325 [DGHGQDTSGQLP] of the 40 kDa mouse HAP40 protein. Co-immunopreciptates Huntingtin protein (350kda) .

Applications: Western blot - Use at 1:500 to 1:1,000 dilution. However, the investigator should determine the optimal dilution for a specific application such as immunohistochemistry.

Format: Affinity purified IgG

Storage: Maintain at +2-8°C for 3 months or at -20°C for longer periods. Stable for 1 year. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
