Since no one antibody works best for all applications (neutralization, blotting, histochemistry, ELISA, etc), we offer many different types of antibodies to help solve this problem. Packaging: 250 micrograms in 250ul PBS pH 7.4 w/0.05% sodium azide.

Species: chicken IgY

Antigen: 19 residue synthetic peptide (CKYADGTIDIEEVTENPKT) corresponding residues 642-659 of the deduced cDNA sequence of the alpha subunit of human ILGF1 receptor

Purity: IgY isolated by PEG and ammonium sulphate precipitation

Activity: specific for human IGF-1 receptor alpha subunit. Cross species reactivity not yet performed.

Applications:

-Immunocytochemistry: 10 micrograms/ml detected IgF-1 receptor on 2%/1% paraformaldehyde/acetic

acid fixed 3T3 cells expressing the IGF-1 receptor.

-Western blot: 1 micrograms/ml detected IGF-1 receptor alpha subunit from a serum starved DU145

prostate cell lysate and a membrane preparation prepared from 3T3 cells expressing the human IGF-1

receptor.

-immunoprecipitation:5ug/ml

FOR ALL APPLICATIONS, We recommend enrichment with WGA-agarose prior to use since there is a limited number of receptors present in most preparations.
