Rabbit Polyclonal Antisera To: C-Terminal Domain of the a-Subunit of Human Insulin Receptor (HIR)

Immunizing Antigen: CBL peptide-13 represents residues 702-719 from the C-terminal region of HIR-A linked to KLH.

Purification Method: Antisera were purified by affinity chromatography on a Protein A Sepharose CL4B column.

Specificity: The antisera is directed against a peptide sequence in the C-terminal region of the a-subunit which is common to both HIR-A and HIR-B.

Applications: *Radio-immunoassay for the isoforms of the human insulin receptor.

                     *Clinical studies of insulin-resistant states.

Presentation: The affinity purified polyclonal immunoglobulin is presented at a concentration of 100ug/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 10mM sodium azide. We recommend that each laboratory determine an optimum working titre for use in its particular application.

Storage: For use within 1 month of purchase store at +4'C, for long term storage aliquot antibody into small volumes and store at -20'C.
